Werner, Udogie, Davies – Tottenham injury news and return dates before Burnley clash

Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham Hotspur’s injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Burnley.

SURE ODDS BANNER

With their top-four chances hanging by the thinnest of threads, an out-of-sorts Tottenham Hotspur gear up to host relegation-battling Burnley in Saturday’s Premier League affair.

Ange Postecoglou has now overseen four defeats on the bounce courtesy of Sunday’s 4-2 loss to Liverpool, where the Lilywhites again struck twice late on but were made to pay for their appalling display in the first 60 minutes.

However, Aston Villa’s loss to Brighton & Hove Albion means that Spurs are still seven points behind the Lions with a game in hand, but one more Villa win or another Tottenham defeat will extinguish their top-four hopes for good.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham’s latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with the Clarets, who are staring down the barrel of demotion owing to last week’s 4-1 pummelling at the hands of Newcastle United.

Timo Werner’s North London derby race was run in the first half on April 28, and Postecoglou has now conceded that the German’s thigh issue will keep him out for the rest of the season, so he may very well have played his final game for the Lilywhites if Spurs opt against making his RB Leipzig loan permanent.
