Nuevo Mirandilla will play host to a huge La Liga clash on Sunday afternoon, with two clubs battling to stay in Spain’s top flight, Cadiz and Mallorca, locking horns.

Cadiz are currently 18th in the table, six points behind 17th-placed Celta Vigo, while Mallorca occupy 16th position, also six points above the relegation zone.

We say: Cadiz 1-1 Mallorca

Cadiz have only actually lost five of their 16 home league matches this season, while Mallorca have just one away success to their name. It is therefore hard to back an away victory, but we are not convinced about a home win either, so a low-scoring draw could be on the cards this weekend.

Granada will enter Sunday afternoon’s La Liga clash against Osasuna knowing that a defeat could see their relegation to the Segunda Division confirmed with five games of the season left.

The home side are currently 19th in the table, 13 points from the safety of 17th spot, while Osasuna are 11th, one point behind 10th-placed Getafe in the battle for a top-half finish.

We say: Granada 0-0 Osasuna

Granada have to avoid defeat here to take their fight to another match, and we are backing a goalless draw on Sunday. Osasuna have had another solid campaign, but they will be missing a number of important players this weekend, which has made it difficult to back an away success.

Rayo Vallecano will be bidding to ease any lingering relegation fears when they continue their La Liga campaign away to European hopefuls Villarreal on Sunday evening.

The visitors are currently 15th in the table, nine points ahead of 18th-placed Cadiz with six matches left, while Villarreal sit in ninth spot, nine points behind sixth-placed Real Sociedad.

We say: Villarreal 2-1 Rayo Vallecano

Villarreal’s recent form has been impressive, and the Yellow Submarine still have an outside chance of claiming a European spot this season. Rayo will be in a confident mood heading into the contest, and we are backing the visitors to score, but Villarreal should be able to navigate their way to an important three points.

The latest instalment of the Seville derby will take place at Estadio Benito Villamarin on Sunday evening, with European-chasing Real Betis welcoming an in-form Sevilla.

Real Betis are currently seventh in the table, three points behind sixth-placed Real Sociedad, while Sevilla, who are on a three-game winning run, occupy 12th spot in the division.

We say: Real Betis 1-1 Sevilla

Each of the last three La Liga meetings between these two sides have finished level, with two of those ending in 1-1 draws. There is not an awful lot between the teams when it comes to quality, and we are expecting a cagey Seville derby to finish all square on Sunday night.
