Arsenal transfer news: Gunners ‘weighing up £67m double swoop’ for Bournemouth duo

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Bournemouth duo Antoine Semenyo and Milos Kerkez during next summer’s transfer window.

SURE ODDS BANNER

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Bournemouth duo Antoine Semenyo and Milos Kerkez, with the duo potentially available for a fee in the region of £67m.

There is currently a host of speculation surrounding the futures of both players, with Semenyo believed to be admired by Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.

Kerkez, meanwhile, has recently been linked with Manchester United, and he is said to be viewed as a possible left-back target for the Red Devils amid Luke Shaw‘s ongoing injury problems.

According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is a huge admirer of both players, and the Gunners are considering making a double swoop during next summer’s transfer window.

The report claims that the Cherries would want in the region of £67m for a double deal, although it is unlikely that the North London outfit would go to that amount for the duo.

Arsenal ‘eyeing Bournemouth duo Semenyo, Kerkez’

Arsenal allegedly view Semenyo as back-up for Bukayo Saka, but Kerkez could potentially be given the chance to secure the starting left-back spot in the team on a long-term basis.

Semenyo started his professional career with Bristol City, representing the club on 123 occasions in all competitions, before making the move to Bournemouth in January 2023.

The 24-year-old has scored 12 goals and registered three assists in 55 appearances for the Cherries, and he has been in strong form at the start of this season, managing three goals and one assist in seven Premier League appearances.

Kerkez, meanwhile, arrived at the Vitality Stadium from AZ Alkmaar in 2023, and an impressive 2023-24 campaign saw him make 33 appearances in all competitions for Bournemouth.

The defender then represented Hungary at Euro 2024, and he has also made a strong start to this season, managing seven appearances in all competitions, helping his side pick up eight points from their first seven Premier League games of the campaign.

Would Semenyo, Kerkez be good signings for Arsenal?

It will be very difficult for Bournemouth to keep hold of both players due to the growing interest in their services.

Semenyo has shown himself to be a very dangerous Premier League attacker, and he looks the ideal fit to provide solid back-up for Arsenal in the wide positions, and he has the potential to become a starter in the coming years.

Kerkez, meanwhile, is one of the brightest young full-backs in the Premier League, so it would be a surprise if he remained at the Vitality Stadium beyond next summer, but Man United’s ongoing issues at left-back could see the Red Devils make a concrete attempt to secure his services.
