Liverpool injury latest and team news for Brentford clash: Any concerns for Slot?

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool’s latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Brentford.

SURE ODDS BANNER

For the first time as Liverpool head coach, Arne Slot takes charge of a Premier League game at Anfield on Sunday, when Brentford make the trip to Merseyside.

The Dutchman’s English top-flight debut ended in a comprehensive 2-0 win over Ipswich Town last weekend, even if the newly-promoted side went all guns blazing in the first half.

Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah eventually ensured that the Tractor Boys’ first-half efforts were for nought, as the latter scored a record ninth Premier League opening-day goal.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool’s latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with the Bees, who edged out Crystal Palace 2-1 in last weekend’s London derby.

Liverpool’s only real concern for the Ipswich showdown was Bobby Clark, who is dealing with a back problem, but the youngster is on the cusp of a £10m move to Red Bull Salzburg and would not have been considered for selection anyway.

Slot also confirmed that Jarell Quansah‘s half-time substitution at Portman Road was tactical in nature, despite previous claims that he had tweaked a muscle, so Liverpool currently have a clean bill of health for gameweek two.

LIVERPOOL’S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match, meaning that the hosts should have everyone available for selection.
