Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona’s injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga opener with Athletic Bilbao.

Barcelona will be aiming to make it successive wins at the start of their 2024-25 La Liga campaign when they welcome Athletic Bilbao on Saturday evening.

Hansi Flick‘s side came from behind to record a 2-1 victory over Valencia in their season opener at Mestalla, with Robert Lewandowski netting a brace for the Catalan outfit.

The title hopefuls will now finish August with matches against Athletic, Rayo Vallecano and Real Valladolid before tackling Girona in their first fixture after the September international break.

Barcelona remain without the services of Fati, who picked up a foot injury at the end of last month, and it is currently being reported that the attacker will leave on loan before the end of the summer transfer window.
