Transfer rumours: Juve want Villa midfielder, Spurs man open to exit, Real set Davies limit

Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer rumours, including Juventus targeting an Aston Villa midfielder and a Tottenham Hotspur player being open to a summer exit.

SURE ODDS BANNER

Aston Villa reportedly face the prospect of having to fend off interest from Juventus for Douglas Luiz during the summer transfer window.

The Brazil international has just played a key role in Villa qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in their history, the West Midlands outfit finishing in fourth place in the Premier League standings.

However, with Villa not necessarily in the best position when it comes to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability regulations, a big-money sale remains a possibility.

Luiz’s name has been constantly linked with an exit, with Arsenal the most well-documented suitors having tried and failed with an approach in the past.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are contemplating whether to move for Luiz as a replacement for Adrien Rabiot.

Juventus are allegedly of the opinion that they may be able to sign Luiz for a fee in the region of €40m (£34.12m), although that may be dependent on whether other clubs are prepared to pay more for the 26-year-old.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur reportedly face the prospect of one of their homegrown players being interested in a move away from North London.

Oliver Skipp has made a total of 93 appearances in the Spurs first team since coming through the academy system, yet he was only a fringe member under Ange Postecoglou this season.

The 23-year-old made just seven starts in all competitions, with a further 17 coming in all competitions, and it has seemingly led to Skipp contemplating his future.

According to football.london, Skipp is open to going elsewhere to secure first-team football, although it remains unclear whether Spurs will be prepared to entertain any offers.

Spurs are limited when it comes to experienced homegrown players in their squad, something which presents an issue with both Premier League and Europa League regulations.

While Spurs could promote several academy graduates to the senior ranks on a permanent basis, there is obvious value in retaining Skipp’s services.

Over in Spain, Real Madrid have reportedly reached a decision over how much they are prepared to spend on Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies.

With a year remaining on his contract at the Allianz Arena, Davies is contemplating his options and a move to the Bernabeu has been touted for some time.

Meanwhile, Real have extra funds to use in the transfer market courtesy of their Champions League triumph over Borussia Dortmund at the weekend.

Nevertheless, according to Relevo, Los Blancos are not prepared to pay more than €35m (£29.85m) for the Canada international during the summer transfer window.

Although Bayern are likely to demand more than that figure, club officials have already highlighted in the past that they will not risk losing any of their most prized assets on a free transfer.
