Chelsea injury, suspension news vs. FC Noah: Will Jadon Sancho return?

Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea’s injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday’s Conference League fixture against FC Noah.

SURE ODDS BANNER

Chelsea are back in action on Thursday evening when they square off against FC Noah in the Conference League.

Enzo Maresca‘s side have made the perfect start to the League Phase of this competition, scoring four times in victories over Gent and Panathinaikos respectively.

However, the Blues have found goals harder to come by over the past week, the West Londoners battling their way to a 1-1 draw at Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Although Chelsea will effectively guarantee a top-24 place at the halfway stage with a win on Thursday, Maresca will again select a much-changed starting lineup.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea’s latest injury and suspension news ahead of welcoming the minnows to Stamford Bridge.

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: November 7 (vs. FC Noah)

Jadon Sancho has not been seen in a Chelsea shirt since being hauled off at half time against Liverpool on October 20. That has been a consequence of illness and ineligibility, but the winger is expected to be in a position to return on Thursday night.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Omari Kellyman has struggled with fitness issues since joining the Blues from Aston Villa in the summer; the attacker remains on the sidelines for this match due to a hamstring problem, and it is unclear when he will be able to return.

CHELSEA’S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no suspension issues heading into this contest. However, Wesley Fofana, Ben Chilwell, Romeo Lavia and Cole Palmer were all not named in the squad for the League Phase of this competition.
