SURE ODDS BANNER

Chelsea Women will look to maintain their 100% start to the season when they head to Goodison Park for Sunday’s Women’s Super League meeting with Everton Women

In contrast to their high-flying opponents, the Toffees are still searching for their first win of the season after taking just two points from their first five league matches.

Everton are hovering above the relegation place on goal difference after drawing two and losing three of their five WSL games this season.

The Toffees began their league campaign with back-to-back defeats, before they produced a stubborn display to hold Arsenal to a goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium.

They went on to play out a 1-1 home draw against West Ham United, but they were unable to make it three league games without defeat in their away meeting with Leicester City.

Yuka Momiki scored the decisive goal to condemn Brian Sorensen‘s side to a 1-0 defeat, leaving Everton as one of three teams yet to claim a WSL win this season.

Having netted just one league goal this term, the division’s lowest scorers will have to produce something special if they are to avoid defeat against Chelsea for the first time since winning 2-1 in the FA Cup in September 2020.

Sonia Bompastor has made a flawless start to her Chelsea tenure, having seen her side win all six of their competitive matches this season.

The Blues have recorded four of those victories in the WSL, including wins over Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Arsenal.

In their final game before the international break, the reigning WSL champions produced a dominant display to clinch a 5-2 victory over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Johanna Rytting Kaneryd scored a brace and provided an assist in the commanding victory to make sure Chelsea are the only team with a 100% record in the WSL.

Despite boasting a perfect record, the Blues are sitting in second place and one point behind Manchester City due to the fact the leaders have played one game more.

Chelsea will be favourites to claim another victory on Sunday after winning each of their previous 10 competitive matches against Everton.

We say: Everton Women 1-3 Chelsea Women

Chelsea won all six of their competitive matches before the international break, and we think they will pick up from where they left to claim a relatively comfortable win over a struggling Everton side to maintain their 100% start to the season.
