Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today’s Championship fixtures, including Luton vs. Sunderland.

SURE ODDS BANNER

Aiming to avoid three straight defeats in the second tier, Hull City will welcome Premier League-chasing Burnley to the MKM Stadium for a Championship battle on Wednesday night.

The Tigers were unimpressive during their defeat at the hands of high-flying Sunderland on Sunday, whilst the Clarets cruised to three points at the home of Sheffield Wednesday a day earlier.

We say: Hull City 0-1 Burnley

Hull have been susceptible to fast breaks during the opening weeks of the season, and Burnley possess the quality to punish the hosts for any defensive negligence on Wednesday night.

The Clarets will be confident of recording five straight clean sheets as they visit a Hull side who failed to register a shot on target versus Sunderland last time out.

Looking to enjoy a sixth straight home victory in the second tier, Blackburn Rovers will welcome fellow promotion chasers West Bromwich Albion to Ewood Park on Wednesday night for a Championship clash.

Rovers managed a one-goal success over Swansea City in Lancashire on the weekend, whilst the Baggies’ poor run of form continued as they were forced to settle for a point at Oxford United.

We say: Blackburn Rovers 1-1 West Bromwich Albion

Boasting a flawless home record so far this season, Blackburn will be confident of enjoying another successful night at Ewood Park on Wednesday.

We feel as if Rovers’ exceptional run of results in Lancashire should come to an end soon, with West Brom capable of collecting a point away from home.

Aiming to record back-to-back wins for the second time this season, Luton Town will host early pacesetters Sunderland at Kenilworth Road for a Championship clash on Wednesday night.

The Hatters managed a thumping success over local rivals Watford on the weekend, whilst the Black Cats snatched all three points at the home of Hull City on Humberside.

We say: Luton Town 1-1 Sunderland

Following their thumping of Watford on the weekend, Luton should be confident of recording a positive result under the lights at Kenilworth Road once again, despite the league leaders being in town.

Sunderland cruised to victory over Hull last time out, although we believe that the Hatters will be more of a nuisance, leading to a share of the spoils in Bedfordshire.

Looking to earn their first win in four second-tier matches, Millwall will welcome a struggling Plymouth Argyle outfit to The Den on Wednesday night in the Championship.

The Lions shared the spoils with newly-promoted Derby County on the weekend, whilst the Pilgrims suffered a heavy defeat over the border at Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon.

We say: Millwall 3-0 Plymouth Argyle

After battling back for a point against Derby on the weekend, Millwall will be desperate to grab all three points against Plymouth on Wednesday night.

The Green Army are woeful on the road and with little time between Saturday’s mauling at Cardiff and the trip to The Den, we are expecting a similar result for Rooney’s side.

Both keen to bounce back from weekend defeats, Middlesbrough and Sheffield United will square off at the Riverside Stadium on Wednesday.

The visitors dropped to fourth spot in the Championship table having seen their unbeaten start to the season put to an end by Leeds United on Friday, while their hosts sit ninth following a disappointing home loss to Bristol City.

We say: Middlesbrough 1-0 Sheffield United

Left wounded by a first defeat of the season last time out, and yet to truly click in attack, Sheffield United face another stern test on Wednesday and could fall short against a Middlesbrough side with more quality than their recent results suggest.
