Having clinched the Supporters’ Shield title this week, Inter Miami head coach Tata Martino may choose to sit out captain Lionel Messi and leading goalscorer Luis Suarez despite being in line for the MLS points record when they travel to BMO Field for a date with Toronto on Saturday, in the final match of the year for the Reds.
TFC lost 4-1 in midweek against the New York Red Bulls and currently hold the final playoff position in the Eastern Conference, while the Herons beat the Columbus Crew 3-2 and will officially finish first overall.
