Manchester United have been given a huge fitness boost for Thursday’s Europa League contest against Porto, with Kobbie Mainoo named in the 23-man squad for the trip to Portugal.
Mainoo was forced off the field through injury in the first half of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur, and there had been fears that he was set for a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring issue.
However, the England international was able to train on Wednesday morning, and he is making the trip to Portugal, with Man United preparing to tackle Porto in a key Europa League fixture.
Harry Maguire is also included, with the centre-back recovering from the minor issue that forced him to miss out against Spurs, but Mason Mount will not feature in the contest with the Portuguese giants.

Mainoo, Maguire are in the Man United squad against Porto
Mount was forced off against Tottenham on Sunday due to a head injury, and although the Englishman did not suffer a concussion, he will not be involved in the European clash.
Dan Gore is a notable inclusion, with the midfielder travelling to Porto after captaining the Under-21s against Hertha Berlin on Tuesday night, playing an hour in that fixture.
The rest of the squad is as expected, with Lisandro Martinez, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund among those who are set to be involved.

Which Man United players will be missing against Porto?
Summer signing Leny Yoro is continuing his recovery from the fractured metatarsal that he suffered during pre-season, with the centre-back not expected to be available until the start of December.
Tyrell Malacia is also still out, with the Netherlands international working his way back from the serious knee injury that forced him to miss the entirety of the 2023-24 campaign.
Luke Shaw, meanwhile, is yet to feature this term due to a calf problem, but Victor Lindelof is now back in the squad after recovering from the toe issue which made him absent in the early weeks of the season.
Man United opened their 2024-25 Europa League campaign with a 1-1 draw against FC Twente, and there will be pressure on head coach Erik ten Hag to deliver a positive result in Portugal.
