Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today’s Primeira Liga fixtures, including Porto vs. Arouca.

SURE ODDS BANNER

Nacional will be seeking to pick up their first away win of the 2024-25 Primeira Liga campaign when they go head to head with Famalicao at the Estadio Municipal de Famalicao on Sunday.

This will be the first meeting between the two sides since May 2021, when the Vila Nova cruised to a 3-0 home victory courtesy of strikes from Ivo Rodriguez, Ivan Jaime and Fernando Valenzuela.

We say: Famalicao 2-0 Nacional

While Famalicao have suffered a slight drop-off in recent weeks, they will be backing themselves against a floundering Nacional side who have struggled to impose themselves in the top flight. Evangelista’s men head into the weekend as the more in-form side and we are backing them to secure all three points in front of their home supporters.

Porto‘s attempt to keep pace with Primeira Liga-topping Sporting Lisbon sees them host Arouca in Sunday’s gameweek seven match-up at Estadio do Dragao.

Vitor Bruno’s troops trail Ruben Amorim’s side by three points and aim to at least maintain that deficit against a club they failed to defeat last term.

We say: Porto 3-0 Arouca

Despite what might have played out in the previous season, Porto are backed to inflict Arouca’s fifth league loss this term to pile more misery on an injury-afflicted opponent and record their fifth consecutive top-flight victory at the Dragao since the backend of last season.

Ricardinho of Santa Clara celebrates on August 24, 2024© Imago

Santa Clara will be looking to make it three home wins on the bounce when they welcome Boavista to the Estadio de Sao Miguel in round seven of the Primeira Liga on Sunday.

Os Axadrezados were outclassed by a spirited Benfica side last time out and will head into the weekend looking to secure their first win since narrowly seeing off Casa Pia in the season opener on August 10.

We say: Santa Clara 2-1 Boavista

Boavista have struggled to find their feet this season and now go up against a Santa Clara side who have proven tough to crack so far. Os Axadrezados’ form on the road is currently nothing to write home about and we are backing Matos’ men to come away with the desired result.

Bruma celebrates scoring for Braga on September 26, 2024© Imago

Four points and as many places separate Braga and Rio Ave in the Primeira Liga table heading into Sunday’s gameweek seven clash at Estadio Municipal de Braga.

The home side have seemingly overcome a mini wobble to notch consecutive victories in all competitions and chase another triumph over a team on a two-match run without maximum points.

We say: Braga 2-1 Rio Ave

Despite Braga’s recent busy schedule and a growing injury list, they should have enough in the tank to eke out a marginal victory against a Rio Ave side that have lost three away matches on the spin and secured one road win since the start of 2023.
