Liverpool injury news and return dates for Ipswich clash: Midfielder latest

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool’s latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Ipswich Town.

SURE ODDS BANNER

Hoping to subject Ipswich Town to a harsh welcome back to life in the Premier League, Liverpool head to Portman Road to tackle Kieran McKenna‘s men in Saturday’s lunchtime kickoff.

The 12.30pm bout represents the Reds’ first competitive match under Arne Slot, who oversaw a stellar set of pre-season results, including wins over Arsenal and Manchester United in the USA.

While it has been mainly quiet on the transfer front at Anfield – certainly in terms of incomings – the Dutchman is expected to be working with a near full-strength squad for this weekend’s opening scrap.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool’s latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Ipswich, who finished second behind Leicester City in the 2023-24 Championship.

Status: Minor doubt

Possible return date: August 17 (vs. Ipswich)

With Dominik Szoboszlai and Andrew Robertson now fit again, Bobby Clark is the only minor concern for Slot to worry about due to his back problem, but the youngster has now returned to training and should be in contention to play this weekend. His availability could hinge on his transfer situation, though; Liverpool have apparently rebuffed a bid from Red Bull Salzburg for the teenager.

LIVERPOOL’S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match.
