West Ham United close in on the signing of Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to a report.
West Ham United are reportedly closing in on the signing of Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
There has been widespread speculation surrounding the right-back’s future in recent weeks, with West Ham emerging as the favourites to sign the ex-Crystal Palace youngster.
Wan-Bissaka has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Old Trafford, and Man United want to bring in Bayern Munich‘s Noussair Mazraoui as his replacement this summer.
According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, a breakthrough has been made in the negotiations between Man United and West Ham over a permanent deal for the Englishman.
Plettenberg claims that both clubs are looking to finalise the deal on Saturday, with Wan-Bissaka set to undergo a medical at the London Stadium in the early stages of next week.

Wan-Bissaka ‘set to sign’ six-year contract
The journalist claims that Wan-Bissaka has agreed personal terms on a six-year contract.
The 26-year-old arrived at Man United from Palace in the summer of 2019, and he has represented the 20-time English champions on 190 occasions in all competitions.
Wan-Bissaka featured 30 times for the Red Devils last term, as he benefitted from Man United’s defensive injury problems, but he is behind Diogo Dalot in the pecking order when the Red Devils have a fully-fit squad.
Palace have been linked with a return for their former youngster, but West Ham are now set to secure his signature, with the Hammers expected to confirm his arrival in the early stages of next week.

Will Man United now sign Mazraoui?
Ironically, West Ham had been looking to bring in Mazraoui from Bayern, but the Morocco international rejected the chance to move to the London Stadium.
Man United are now the heavy favourites for the right-back, and selling Wan-Bissaka will open the door for the former Ajax defender to move to Old Trafford.
A recent report claimed that the 20-time English champions are expecting to complete a double deal for Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt to boost their defensive options for the new campaign.
Dalot and Luke Shaw, if fit, will be Man United’s first-choice full-backs next season, but the latter’s ongoing fitness problems are a concern, and Dalot could be needed at left-back in 2024-25.
The Red Devils are also allegedly still in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over a potential deal for Manuel Ugarte despite suggestions that the English outfit had cooled their interest.
