Eleven weeks on from the 2024 FA Cup final, Manchester United and Manchester City will meet once again, with the bitter rivals locking horns in the Community Shield.

The Red Devils beat Pep Guardiola‘s side 2-1 in last season’s FA Cup final to claim the trophy, while the Citizens won a fourth straight Premier League title in 2023-24.

Man United will begin their 2024-25 Premier League campaign against Fulham on August 16, while Man City will start their title defence with a clash against Chelsea on August 18.

New signing Yoro will be on the sidelines for the next three months due to the fractured metatarsal that he suffered during the recent pre-season friendly with Arsenal.

Hojlund picked up a hamstring injury during the recent pre-season fixture with Arsenal, and the Denmark international will be missing until the middle of September.

Malacia missed the entirety of last season due to a serious knee injury, and the Dutchman is still not ready to return, but the left-back could be back in the Man United squad before the end of the year.
