Man United transfer news: Jadon Sancho ‘holding out’ for move to European giants

Jadon Sancho allegedly rejects a ‘big offer’ to leave Manchester United, as he wants to join Juventus this summer.

SURE ODDS BANNER

Jadon Sancho has reportedly already rejected a ‘big offer’ to leave Manchester United this summer, as the Englishman is holding out for a switch to Juventus.

The 24-year-old is highly unlikely to represent the Red Devils again due to his fall-out with head coach Erik ten Hag towards the start of the 2023-24 campaign.

Sancho spent the second half of last season back on loan at Borussia Dortmund, but the German outfit, at this stage, are not actively pursuing a permanent return for the ex-Manchester City youngster.

The forward did not return to pre-season training with Man United on Monday amid the uncertainty surrounding his future, and he is widely expected to leave this summer.

According to journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Sancho recently received an ‘important offer’ to leave Man United, with teams from Turkey and England said to be keen on his signature.

Sancho ‘waiting’ for Juventus move

However, the attacker rejected the chance to join the unnamed club, as he is allegedly holding out for a switch to Italian giants Juventus.

Man United are thought to want around £40m for Sancho this summer, but it is believed that the Old Lady are not willing to go above £30m for the forward.

There is a possibility that a loan deal will be agreed between the two clubs, providing that Juventus agree to purchase Sancho during next summer’s transfer window.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently said that Juventus “appreciate” Sancho, while Barcelona were also named as potential suitors for the Englishman this summer.

Sancho, Man United must part ways this summer

Sancho’s move to Man United has not worked out, with the forward only managing 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances for the club in all competitions.

For Dortmund, though, he has managed 53 goals and 67 assists in 158 appearances across two spells, and he certainly looked happier turning out for BVB last term.

Sancho’s relationship with Ten Hag has completely broken down, and there is no going back at this stage, so it is best for all parties if the player leaves this summer.

The forward will be hoping to reignite his career at a new club and potentially work his way back into the England set-up, having dropped so far down the pecking order.

Man United have big plans for the summer market, and a sale of Sancho would certainly help them in their bid to boost their squad for the 2024-25 campaign.
