More than half of Man Utd fans think Marcus Rashford should leave, while 89% want Casemiro out

More than half of Manchester United supporters vote to sell Marcus Rashford this summer, while the vast majority also want Casemiro to leave.

SURE ODDS BANNER

Manchester United fans have been voting to either keep or sell members of their first-team squad this summer, and more than half of the supporters think that Marcus Rashford should leave Old Trafford.

Sports Mole posed the question about the futures of the current crop of players, and there were some notable stories from the votes.

Indeed, 50.2% of the supporters said that Rashford should be sold this summer, with the England international clearly splitting opinion due to his struggles during the 2023-24 campaign.

The England international only managed eight goals and five assists in 43 appearances for the Red Devils last season, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future.

Rashford is on a contract until June 2028, though, so it is very difficult to imagine him leaving this summer, with reports of interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal thought to be wide of the mark.

Man United fans vote to sell Rashford, Casemiro

The Man United supporters, meanwhile, voted in their numbers to sell Casemiro, with 89% believing that the Brazil international should depart this summer.

The 32-year-old struggled defensively last season, and there is believed to be significant Saudi Arabian interest in his services, with an exit in the coming months thought to be likely.

Casemiro is Man United’s highest earner, picking up in the region of £350,000 a week, and he has another two years left to run on his contract, with the option of an additional 12 months.

Andre Onana had difficulties during his first season at the club, but 81.7% of fans want to keep him, but 74% voted to sell Victor Lindelof, and 53.1% said that they would allow Harry Maguire to leave.

As expected, Lisandro Martinez, Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund all received huge votes to stay, while the same can also be said for Amad Diallo (93%).

Man United supporters vote on Greenwood, Sancho futures

Jadon Sancho continues to be linked with an exit, with Man United said to want £40m for the Englishman, who spent the second half of last season back on loan at Borussia Dortmund.

It is difficult to imagine a way back for him at Old Trafford, especially with Erik ten Hag now set to stay at Man United, and their supporters are in favour of keeping the Dutchman.

Man United fans voted to sell Sancho at 67.7%, but 54.6% of the supporters said that they would keep hold of Mason Greenwood, who spent last season on loan at Getafe.

The club’s new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe suggested earlier this year that there could be a route for Greenwood back into the first team at Old Trafford.

However, it is tough to imagine that the Red Devils academy product has a future at Old Trafford, with Juventus thought to be leading the race to sign him on a permanent basis this summer.

Antony, Eriksen, Wan-Bissaka also among those Man United fans want to sell

Antony has found it difficult at Old Trafford, only managing 11 goals and five assists in 82 appearances for the club in all competitions since his arrival from Ajax.

The Man United fans voted to sell him at 77.2%, while 95.2% voted in favour of a departure for Christian Eriksen, but it was a lot closer for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with 50.7% voting to sell.

Luke Shaw actually received 30.8% of the sale votes, seemingly due to his injury problems, while Mason Mount has been backed by 60.5% of the supporters to overcome a difficult first season.

Scott McTominay is also wanted by 65.4% of the fans, with the Scotland international impressing during the 2023-24 campaign, coming up with 10 goals and three assists in 43 appearances in all competitions.
