Can you name England’s centurions?

To mark the birthday of one of England’s greatest-ever servants, Sports Mole challenges you to name every player to have reached a century of caps for the Three Lions.

SURE ODDS BANNER

One of England‘s greatest-ever servants celebrates his birthday today, with former captain David Beckham turning 49.

The right midfielder had one of the most storied England careers ever seen, becoming a national pariah following his red card against Argentina at the 1998 World Cup before redeeming himself by ensuring the Three Lions’ place at the next World Cup with his unforgettable free kick against Greece three years later.

There was further redemption in 2002 as Beckham scored against Argentina, and the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain man went on to achieve many more memorable moments in the colours of his beloved country.

Beckham’s service to England saw him enshrined as one of only nine players to have reached a century of caps for the Three Lions, and when he hung up his boots he held the record for the most-capped outfield player in the nation’s history.

So we’ve given you one, and to mark Beckham’s birthday Sports Mole is challenging you to name all of the other members of England’s exclusive centurion club.
