Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek emerges as a January target for Newcastle United, according to a report.
Newcastle United could reportedly move for Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek when the January transfer window opens for business.
The Netherlands international has conceded that he needs to leave Old Trafford in the winter market for the sake of his career, as he is not in the plans of Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag moving forward.
A number of clubs were linked with Van de Beek over the summer, but he ultimately remained at Man United past the deadline and was named in their Premier League squad.
The midfielder has featured just twice for the Red Devils this season, with his only league action proving to be the final moments against Crystal Palace at the end of September.
Galatasaray have been strongly linked with the 26-year-old, and it is believed that the Turkish giants are lining up a mid-season move for the Dutchman.

However, according to journalist Ekrem Konur, there is also interest from Newcastle, with the Magpies potentially making a move when the winter market opens for business.
Eddie Howe‘s side, who recorded an impressive 4-1 win over Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, will be without the services of Sandro Tonali until August 2024 due a betting suspension.
Meanwhile, fellow midfielders Elliot Anderson, Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock are currently on the sidelines due to fitness problems.
As a result, there is expected to be a midfield addition in the winter market, and Van de Beek, who is on the bench for Man United’s clash with Everton on Sunday afternoon, has allegedly been identified as a possible acquisition.

A record of 41 goals and 34 assists in 175 appearances for Ajax led to Man United signing the midfielder in the summer of 2020, but he has found it difficult to make his mark at Old Trafford.
The midfielder has only managed two goals and two assists in 62 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, and he has also spent time on loan at Everton during his time in Manchester.
Van de Beek missed the second half of last season due to a serious knee injury, but he was back for the start of pre-season and was involved in the team’s preparations for the new campaign.
Real Sociedad and Inter Milan were among the teams to be linked with him over the summer, while clubs from Turkey and Saudi Arabia are thought to have considered moves in the latter stages of their respective transfer windows.
Man United are currently well-stocked in central midfield and would likely let Van de Beek leave for the right price in January, as Casemiro, Mason Mount and Christian Eriksen should be back from injuries by then.
