Tottenham Hotspur reportedly enter race with Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal to secure the signing of 22-year-old Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade.
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly entered the race with Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal to secure the signing of 22-year-old Fluminense and Brazil midfielder Andre Trindade.
Andre’s impressive form this season has fueled several rumours linking him with a departure from his childhood club in recent months.
The midfielder was among the targets for Liverpool in the recent summer transfer window as a potential replacement for Fabinho, who departed the club to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.
According to a report from 90min, Tottenham are now poised to join several Premier League teams, including Man United, in the pursuit of the Brazilian’s signature.
The report adds that while Spurs are eager to secure the signing of Andre, it will likely depend on the successful sale of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who has attracted recent interest from Juventus.
Similarly, Manchester United’s potential move for the midfielder is contingent on the future developments regarding Casemiro, who has been linked with a possible move to the Middle East.
Despite securing the signings of Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch during the summer, Liverpool are believed to maintain an interest in acquiring Andre’s services as they approach the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old is also on the radar of Arsenal, with sporting director Edu understood to be keeping tabs on his development.
